FAQ

  • What does it cost?

    $250 for eight 30-minute classes

  • How long is each class?

30 minutes. I value your time and will start and end promptly as such. I believe in getting a good value for your money so I’ll make sure your kids are stronger swimmers (and ready for a nap) after each lesson!

  • Do you teach private lessons?

No. Due to high-demand and personal philosophy, I only teach semi-private group lessons at this time.

*I do, however, teach crash-course lessons to families if that interests you.

  • 1 session equals 4 total hours of instruction. While this may be enough swimming practice for some, additional sessions are significantly helpful and welcomed.

  • 9 months-adult

  • You are encouraged to sign up for a different session if your family must miss more than 2 classes. Unfortunately, there are no refunds for missed classes due to the fact a space has been reserved specifically for your child.

  • Absolutely! I love teaching siblings, as they tend to challenge and learn from one another. If you are concerned before booking, please give me a call and we can discuss.

  • Yes! Babies can start acclimating to water and breath control in the first year of life. For those aged 9 months-3 years, I teach parent-and-child classes with an adult in the water.

  • I travel within a 30-mile radius of Van Alstyne, TX. Contact me if you’d like to see if I can come to your area.

  • Except for inclement weather, I do not offer refunds or rescheduling due to high-demand and the fact that a space has been reserved specifically for your child. You can, however, substitute a swimmer of a similar skill level for a refund.

  • No, I only travel to local backyard or HOA pools.

  • Please arrive 5 minutes early with sunscreen applied and a towel. Kids who are not yet potty-trained should be in a swim diaper. I prefer swimmers to not wear goggles, as I will teach them not to depend on them for safe swimming.

  • I will contact families at least 1 hour prior to class if lightning is in the forecast. Class will be rescheduled or refunded.

  • I have been Water Safety Instructor certified by the American Red Cross for over 15 years. I am also a licensed paramedic by trade and a former public school teacher & coach.

  • Venmo or Zelle are preferred due to smaller credit card fees. I also accept PayPal. You can find me by my phone number: 469-955-9286.
